Financial Assistance Information

Empowering women to become CFP® professionals

Dalton Education is providing $50,000 in financial assistance to women planning a career in financial planning.


Financial assistance is available for women who are not currently financial planners or advisors, but are looking to begin a career in the industry. We want to bolster the number of educated and credentialed women in the financial field by helping career changers and new-to-the-field professionals earn their CFP® certification.  This financial assistance can be used for CFP® education courses through our prestigious university partners.

Financial assistance is awarded on an ongoing basis. Please apply when you meet all eligibility requirements to be considered. Candidates will receive award decisions within 30 days of full application submission. Financial assistance is awarded based on the criteria within the application.

  • Your education history (Degrees and GPA)
  • Employment History
  • Three short essay questions (1000 characters or less)
    • Why did you choose a career in financial planning?
    • How will the CFP® mark help you grow?
    • What are your goals in financial planning?

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a woman looking to pursue a career in the financial planning field but not currently in the field of financial planning.
  • Must have an undergraduate or advanced degree or be within 60 hours of an undergraduate degree (Junior or Senior).
  • Have not completed any prior CFP® education requirements
