Closing the Diversity Gap
To meet the needs of all customers, we need a diverse financial planning industry.
As of 2017, the CFP Board showed that only 6% of financial planners reported as African American and just 32% as women. Dalton Education’s Diversity Initiative was created to change those statistics and to bolster the number of educated and credentialed minority individuals and women in the financial planning field.
The Dalton Education CFP® Certification Education Scholarship provides up to $3,000 for those who qualify. This financial assistance can be used for CFP® certification education courses through the Center for Professional Education at UT Austin.
Multiple scholarships will be awarded by Dalton Education every year on a first-come, first-served basis to qualified applicants who successfully complete the application process. If you would like to be considered and you meet all eligibility requirements, please apply below.
Must be looking to pursue a career in the financial planning field, and from an underrepresented population in terms of gender, race or ethnicity, AND/OR a military veteran or a spouse of a military veteran.
Must have an undergraduate or advanced degree, or be within 60 hours of an undergraduate degree (Junior or Senior).
