Does the CFP® exam test current year tax numbers or the prior year's numbers?

With the exception of March exams, which test the previous year's law, the CFP® exam tests current year tax law. This includes current year tax rates, phase-outs, and inflation-adjusted numbers.

Are updated materials included in the initial purchase price of the review?

Students have the option to purchase updated review materials at a discounted price if they need to move their exam cycle to a new testing year. Annual inflation-adjusted updates are provided to students to download if they choose not to purchase updated materials when moving to a new exam year.
